In 2022, after 42 years doing human resource and labor relations work in various industries, I decided to try my hand at retirement. Within just a few months, I was restless. Golf and other hobbies didn't yield the same satisfaction, especially golf! Thus was born Argus Resources, a specialized HR/LR consulting firm. (The name is a throw back to a company my dad owned many, many decades ago.)
As a bar admitted lawyer in Maryland and DC, I have spent the majority of my career "in house," heading up HR functions in union and non-union manufacturing, media, and hospitality companies. I have a deep understanding of EEO, FLSA, NLRA, FMLA, and ADA laws in multiple jurisdictions.
In the first year of consulting, I have been engaged to investigate allegations of executive misconduct covering matters such as organizational culture, harassment, retaliation, discrimination, compliance, and misuse of assets. I have done union avoidance and HR-laws training, done first chair collective bargaining, facilitated organizational downsizings, and helped companies "reorganize" their HR departments.
I often work closely with outside counsel, and have been selected by many of the nation's top tier law firms to assist their clients.
Every organization is unique. My style is relaxed and flexible, yet professional.
